Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations ("BATO") thanks you for accessing www.bridgestonemotorcycletires.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy applies to the Site and forms part of the Terms and Conditions of Use that govern your use of the Site.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the Site. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by it. If you do not agree to any of the terms contained in the Privacy Policy, your remedy is to not use the Site. This Privacy Policy tells you about BATO’s information gathering, use, and disclosure practices and applies to information gathered through your use of this Site and your electronic communications through this Site.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by third parties, including via websites, applications, or other content that may be accessible from or linked to this Site. BATO is not responsible for the content or privacy practices on any non-BATO site to which this Site links.

1.  Information Collection. BATO may collect information from you at several different points and in different ways on this Site. You can browse the Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself other than the information that you automatically provide us (discussed below).

Types of information. BATO collects Non-personal Information through the Site. “Non-personal Information” is information that does not identify you individually (such as group demographics) or does not permit a direct association with an individual. It may include information derived from Personal Information (defined below) that has been removed from unique identifiers or is otherwise depersonalized or combined with information about other users to form aggregated data. BATO also collects contact information from you through the Site. This may include Personal Information, though BATO requests your work-related contact information. “Personal Information” includes your personally identifiable information including first and last name together with email address, mailing address, telephone number or additional contact information. To the extent Non-personal Information is associated with Personal Information, the combination is treated as Personal Information.

Information you provide to BATO. In order to take advantage of soliciting business from BATO through the Site, you may be asked to complete an online registration. When you register online, you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself, including but not limited to your name, work address, work email address and similar information. This allows us to contact you in connection with your interest in doing business with BATO.

Information BATO automatically collects from you. In addition to information that you provide to BATO, BATO may automatically track certain information based upon your behavior on the Site. BATO may use data collection devices, such as “cookies” and “web beacons” on certain pages of the Site to help analyze our website flow and website performance. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to an individual’s computer for record-keeping purposes. These cookies will be placed as a text file in the browser of your computer. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but then you may not be able to access or use portions of the Site. Web beacons are small bits of code embedded in web pages or emails that assist in delivering cookies. They help BATO determine whether a webpage has been viewed and, if so, how many times. BATO may also use web beacons in email messages to determine what the recipient has done with the message. Although you cannot decline to receive web beacons when visiting a web page, you can choose not to receive them by email if you disable the HTML images or refuse HTML email messages. BATO may automatically collect other information, including computer type, browser-type and plug-ins, language, internet service provider (ISP), operating system, java script enables, referring and exit pages, date/time stamp, clickstream data, and city and country. Additionally, BATO may automatically collect and log your Internet Protocol address (“IP address”). Your IP address is a unique numerical address consisting of four numbers separated by periods which provides the location to an individual computer on the Internet. IP addresses are used to designate the computer from which you are accessing the website. BATO may also obtain data about you when you interact with the Site, such as when you look at a page or send a message through the Site.

Amendments. This Site ignores “do-not-track” notices from browsers and other “do-not-track” mechanisms. BATO does not engage in online behavior tracking practices from this Site.

COPPA. BATO does not knowingly collect Personal information from children under the age of 13 on the Site. If BATO discovers that any registration is made by a child under the age of 13, such registration will be immediately and permanently canceled and removed from the Site, with or without notice.
